I can't help myself! I will include some {clothing} fashion, but I want to focus on T.V. fashion.

Sometimes friendships end and we don't understand why. We don't understand why the person stopped talking to us, why parents decided that they didn't like us, why other people became more important. Then one day, you find yourself sitting in Arby's, eating your number 17 with your boyfriend and an older couple from the church you attend; and you see that old friend. Maybe you don't like each other anymore, maybe parents got in the way, who knows. After discussing in brief the friendship you had with them, you get told that "sometimes friendship ends; and look, you wouldn't be here if it hadn't" or something to that effect. And you realize that the older couple sitting across from you is saying the words you've been hearing for the past year-two years, but now they finally make sense. You wouldn't have switched churches if you still had friends at your old church, and you wouldn't have met your boyfriend or become involved in a great church that cares and loves you and people in general. You start to realize the path God's leading you on, and it involved losing people you loved. It doesn't mean that you forget the late night conversations over chocolate milk and pillow fights, or doing each other's nails in that sparkly shade of pink, and it doesn't mean that those memories don't hurt; but it finally gives you peace enough to enjoy those good times with each other while they lasted, and maybe even be thankful that they ended. There are many examples of people in the Bible that had to go through major relationship loss to get to the best part of life, Job lost everything, Ruth's husband and father in law and brother in law all died, Moses had to run away from pharaoh. In all cases life turned out better after the loss of those relationships, and they were able to thank God for that. So next time you see that old friend, just know that better days are coming and blessings are ahead even if you can't see it now. |
