Yesterday Steven and I said goodbye to a couple of good friends. I may have cried (a lot) because Laura is my best friend. But to celebrate their moving and starting a new life in Ohio tomorrow, I made them a graphgan with their initial and wedding year at the bottom. I've been asked a few times for the pattern, so it's located on the free patterns tab here:https://badesigned.weebly.com/free-patterns.html It's an excel file that just has a few graphs of things I've thought about making. I don't take credit for designing any of these designs as I found pictures from Pinterest and just converted them to a easy to read graph, I don't know who to credit for these, but if I find out I'll add their link later!

Today is Steven and I’s 2nd anniversary. We celebrated by hosting a cookout and having friends over! We had so much fun. There was so much food and we all had plenty to eat. I love hosting dinner parties and having our house filled with people. We appreciate everyone coming out and just taking the time to hang out with us. Also special shout out to Mary etta who made me a coconut cake! In other news, I worked on the pillow pattern I started the other day. It’s coming along beautifully. Hopefully I’ll have the pattern written by tomorrow so I can have I tested this week! Yesterday I was talking to one of my pattern testers for Leaf the Trouble with Granny, and I asked if it would be helpful if I added instructions to make a whole blanket with the squares. As we were talking she suggested that I create a pillow pattern. So, knowing that I have a pillow form in the closet that needs used, a pillow design got started last night. I was wandering around Joann's Wednesday night and I picked up some Bernat Softee Baby Stripes in Sunny Side Up. I bought a ball because it was soft and I could figure out what to do with it later, well later came and it's becoming a pillow cover!
Yesterday I didn't have time to post an entry about my latest creation-an add on pattern to Leaf the Trouble with Granny square. This add on is a free pattern that is downloadable from this site, just check out mt free design page(that's new too!). I had minutes of free time here and there yesterday so I decided that I would write you a way to turn one square into a trivet or potholder! If you decide to create this pattern, I would love to see your creations! You can share them with me via email or find me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/BADesignedCrochetWithME/
I was thinking last night that maybe we could start a blanket out of Leaf Your Troubles With Granny blocks. Maybe we could all do one a day, and in November we could put them all together! What do you say? I started last night with some new yarn I’m playing with from Hobby Lobby that I’m using for a CAL from Yarspirations. What do you think? Drop a comment or shoot me an email and I can start sending out weekly updates with block progress!
So most of my friends and family know that I love crocheting and... collecting yarn. Like I could stock up the shelves of Joann's. I love trying different patterns and creating my own. A few months ago I created my own twist on a granny square. I'm so excited to share it with everyone. The pattern is available on Ravelry as a paid download. I would love to see what everyone creates with my Leaf Your Troubles with Granny pattern! Here is the Ravelry Link, and since you found my blog, use coupon code mayblog for a discount through May 31! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/leaf-your-troubles-with-granny
